Religion, Race, & Democracy Lab

Prior to audio storytelling, my first love was teaching. As the editor for student projects at UVA’s Religion, Race, and Democracy Lab, I get to combine those loves into awesome mini-documentaries. Each semester, we take on about a dozen undergraduate and graduate students, train them up in documentary-making skills, and set them lose to make audio, video, or animation projects that fulfill the Lab’s commitment “to the idea that learning more about how religion and race work with democratic societies can help us to live together in today’s pluralistic and increasingly global societies.”
