National Public Media
NPM/Creative
For a year, I made Brand Soundscapes for NPM/Creative. Soundscapes are NPR’s way of telling authentic, custom audio stories about a brand to discerning audiences. I interviewed people with a connection to the brand — either in a studio or their natural habitat. I edited the interview into three-minute pieces that listeners can opt into across NPR’s digital platforms (as well as into :30 and :60 midrolls for podcasts).
The production process is the same as for any high-quality audio piece: I did research, interviewing, tape cutting, mixing, ethical and legal reviews, and worked with a composer to craft original music. The final product sounds like something you’d hear on Morning Edition or All Things Considered -- it’s just branded.
